A Values-Based Approach to Private Practice

Want One?

Websites for therapists, counselors, and coaches

Let’s face it. We live in a world where people Google everything before they commit to anything. Your prospective clients expect that you’ll provide online content about you and your practice. You want your first impression to be clear and authentic, so that you attract the clients you are best able to help.

By listening to you, understanding your target audience, and putting my extensive online knowledge to work, I’ll create a website that will improve your business goals and change the way you think about the potential of the internet for your counseling practice.

Because I'm a therapist, I know the unique needs of a therapy website. I can create a beautiful site that speaks to your ideal client and is easy on your pocketbook.

Please note that all of these websites have been transferred to their owners upon the completion of the website design project, so what they do with them after the project is completed is out of my hands.

I design therapist websites using the Squarespace platform. Squarespace websites are known for being clean and functional. Your website will be uncluttered and content focused; there will be no noisy bells and whistles that distract from your overall goal.

Squarespace is incredibly user-friendly. Once I design your website and get it up and running, you'll take over. But don’t worry, it’s pretty easy to run and edit your site on your own. You can make changes to your website on the fly, instead of waiting for someone else to make those changes. That sense of self-sufficiency cannot be understated.

If you use social media for your business (like Instagram or a Facebook business page), they can be integrated into your website. For example, you can add a sleek and modern Instagram photo grid or embed Tweets.

A unique domain and email gives your website a professional look and makes it easier for visitors to find you. If you already have one (or both), we’ll just link them to your new website. These are all integrated into your Squarespace user platform so you don't need to pay three different entities. Also, your email will be totally HIPAA-secure.

You will not have to worry about your website. Squarespace doesn’t require daily backups, there’s less risk of getting hacked, there's no back-end crap to deal with, and you won’t have to spend your time doing security checks. You’ll never have to worry about accidentally wiping your site clean. Squarespace saves you a headache and empowers you to maintain your website with peace of mind.

A professional web designer can charge between $3,000 and $15,000 for a website. Popular therapist website-building services run around $59/month, or $708 per year.

I believe in value-based, upfront pricing. You will not be receiving a quote with an hourly rate. Instead, you will buy a package that includes only what you not and not what you don’t. There will be no surprises.

I'll make your website work for you. Add your intake paperwork, a map to your office, a link to your online scheduler, a contact form, a blog to share your ideas, and more.

Your therapy website will include a comprehensive set of marketing tools to engage with your audience, get found across search engines and social media, and grow your following.

About 50% of your audience will find you by searching on their smartphones. Your website will look great on mobile and tablet platforms. Squarespace does this automatically so you don’t need to edit your website separately.

Having a brand that stands out is one of the best ways to capture the attention of potential clients. A brand is a marker of the specific identity and special characteristics that individuates you and what you do from the huge, generic category of other therapists. We’ll create a brand that is an authentic expression of you and attracts the clients whose lives will benefit from working with you.

Need help writing or editing the text on your new website? When you add content support to your website package, I will write the copy for you. Your copy should be compelling, reflect you and your practice authentically, and speak to your best-fit clients. I also provide content support for therapists who would like to update the copy on their existing website.

Add-On Services

+ Content Support

The words are just as - if not more - important than how your site looks. Because they have to be true to you and give your potential clients an idea of what it’s like to sit with you. Sometimes it’s difficult to write about yourself with high quality copy that aligns with your practice vision and attracts your best-fit clients. We can collaborate on your business name, headline, taglines, vision, Home page and About Me page copy, product descriptions, information page, etc.

$100 per page

A typical therapy website will have five pages: Home, About, Services, Get Started, and either a Blog or Resources page. If you offer several types of services (i.e. online therapy, coaching, speaking, etc.) or use a well-known therapy approach like EMDR or DBT, you will better attract clients when these services are on their own pages rather than if they are put together on one page.

+ Brand Clarity

A brand is the compilation of all the impressions a potential client has, based on what they see on your website. A professional brand is authentically *YOU* and reflects your expertise in your field. I translate the essence of you into beautiful visuals that convey the right tone for your practice. Your branding package includes two logo designs, a favicon logo, a social sharing logo/image, a cohesive color palette, and tailored content.

+ E-Commerce

$50 and up

Are you selling an e-book, on online course, or want to take payments directly through your website? We’ll make selling products and collecting payments easy-peasy. With an Online Store, there’s no limit to the number of products or services you can sell. Website visitors can engage with your products via embedded videos, images, related products, and more. In addition to all major credit cards, your store is equipped to accept PayPal, Stripe, and Apple Pay.

Remember, No Surprises

The fees for the options above cover the website design only ($500 minimum). In our first meeting, we will discuss all your options so you will know what to expect in regards to design fees and ongoing fees related to your website.

Your total website design fee will be split into two equal payments. The first payment (the deposit) is collected when the contract is signed, which marks the start of the project. The second payment is collected when the website ownership is transferred to you, which marks the end of the project.

The ongoing website-related fees you can expect to pay if you need a domain and a domain-specific email is as follows:

$144 - $216 per year for Squarespace hosting + $20 per year for a new or transferred domain + $72 per year for HIPAA-secure email = No more than $308/year

Is your current website stuck in the 90’s?

If you already have a therapy website but it’s not attracting your ideal clients, looks outdated, or doesn’t truly reflect you and your practice, you may benefit from a website review.

With a Level Up Website Review, you’ll learn what your website lacks, where it shines, and what you need to do to improve it. I review your website and provide you with personalized, unbiased insight to help you update your website so that it does everything a good therapy website is supposed to do. I evaluate how well your website attracts your best-fit clients and reflects who you are as a therapist. Website reviews will also include factors like design, SEO, content, usability and more.
